The director Dean Parisot and crew brought a lively film, but not as excellent as it could have been. The story sets when Bill and Ted must make a song to save reality itself. I wasn't expecting another film and when the news hit I was shocked even though I was kind of excited but at the same time hesitant. This movie was really fun, so much good humor and a satisfying nostalgic feeling but being objective it wasn't great. The problem lies in bringing back the lead actors as main because they felt out of place due to the acting and so wrong for this kind of movie at this time. They were excellent in the past two films but in this one, it felt awkward and I can't be blinded by nostalgia. As much as I like them in the past films, in this one they could have been better served as cameos, not as lead actors.
Keanu Reeves' performance was sometimes good but when he tries to be is young self it was badly executed and it felt forced. So many scenes perceived like he was waiting for Alex Winter to make the first move before he acts. Alex Winter wasn't perfect but he acted better and more fluently. The cast in which surrounded the main actors were phenomenal and they uplifted the film like the princesses Erinn Hayes and Jayma Maystheir. Their on-screen daughters Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving should have been the main actors, they hit every scene and the feeling of their father's presence was within them. Especially the daughter of Ted, I was amazed at how she was acting like him when he was young. Also, the magnificent William Sadler as Death, what an amazing enjoyable performance better than before and I have to give to Anthony Carrigan as the robot, he was super dorky, funny, and adorable.
The composer Mark Isham brought the right tone for this film even though it isn't memorable it still sets an adventure and saving the world vibe.
